About 300 Men

This website is a resource centre for Christian men.  It's purpose is to equip them for the challenging, yet exciting, task of leading their families, churches and communities.  We don't profit, and we're not asking for donations.  Our only hope is that through this site, Christian men reflect the one who saved them - Jesus Christ.

In Judges 7, the Lord takes a tiny  number of men and accomplishes an amazing thing.  300 men in fact.

In May 2008, Mitchelton Presbyterian Church started gathering the names of 300 Christian men who wanted to make a big difference.  300 men who were committed to living radically different lives, because they had been radically changed through Christ.

We invited Mark Driscoll to come and speak to us, and men from all over Brisbane, Queensland and throughout Australia to join us.  The night we gathered, August 28, we had over 900 men.

We believe that God wants to use His people for His glory and for the good of all people.  We believe that God wants Christian men to lead their families, their churches and their communities to Jesus Christ.  And we believe that if we come before Him humbly and ask, that he will listen and answer.

We started with just 300, but we want many more to join us.  Will you?

Here's our commitment:

Acknowledging our own past failures, we challenge the men of our city to join us in getting serious about following Jesus. We confess we have often worshipped a convenient Jesus who has allowed us to continue unchallenged in our comfortable lives. We have made an idol for ourselves - a small, easy Jesus.

We want to repent of this.

We will daily renew our efforts to grow as authentic Christian men who are faithful to our families, who fight hard against sexual temptation, who are honest and reliable in all our dealings, who seek to serve rather than be served, who are committed to our churches, who strive to be bold yet humble and who bring honour to our Lord Jesus.

300 Men Manifesto

Acknowledging our own past failures, we, the undersigned 300 men, challenge the men of our city to join us in getting serious about following Jesus.
